Pesavento Research Group

Pesavento Research Group

The Pesavento research group at the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis. We divide our research time between enigmatic cases of disease in group-housed (shelter) animals, and a basic research program on host:viral pathogen interactions. What unites all of our work is our desire to study natural disease and to help make sense, in real time, of the unpredictable and sometimes confounding outbreaks in our companion and wildlife animals. Much of the research in our lab builds on collaborations with others, at UC Davis, within the UC system, and elsewhere. Please explore the site to find out more about what we do and about the people in our lab.
